Battery Checks: Smoke Detectors and Keypads

There is nothing more annoying than a smoke detector starting to chirp at 3 AM with a low battery. But in a vacant home, a dead battery is a safety hazard. If a fire starts or CO2 levels rise, no alarm will sound, and your remote monitoring system might fail to alert the authorities. During our scheduled visits, we perform a battery audit. We check smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, smart door locks, and alarm keypads. We replace batteries proactively—usually once a year or as needed—so that these devices are always operational. This simple maintenance task is easy to forget when you aren’t living in the house full-time, but it is critical for the safety of your property. We ensure that when you (or your renters) arrive, everything works, and the house is silent—except for the sound of the ocean.
